TIPS TO MAKE YOUR JOB EASIER

Within Acrobat Professional you'll select SAVE AS and pick the Word option.

You can save one slide or all of them as jpegs. These are as good a resolution as the image will allow. These jpegs then can be used in Word, InDesign, and opened in photoshop for further editing.

Frequently I get requests that a client needs to get a distributor an editable version of something. An ad, an e-blast or a product sheet - but the distributor does not have InDesign. Sometimes all clients have is an old pdf and are stuck. Sometimes folks need an image from a Powerpoint, but can't find the original. Sometimes clients have an old pdf and need to rework the content or image and have no original files. Some of the tips below can help, or send me the file - I can work with almost anything.
PDF to a Word File...

So you have a pdf file but want to edit the content. I have clients where the overseas distributors will translate the various content areas, but need something as a place to start. They don't have InDesign or sophisticated Acrobat editing tools - they have Word. No problem. With Acrobat Professional you can "SAVE AS" a Word file which they can edit or translate.
Grab Powerpoint Images...

You need an image, the only place it exists is in a Powerpoint presentation - how can you grab a good quality version of it for a brochure or booth graphic...
With Powerpoint open, go to SAVE AS PICTURES
PDF to Illustrator...

All you have is a pdf. The agency or designer who made the original is gone. You need to rework the advertisement to a new size or edit the content. Without the original file you can be dead meat. With Illustrator I can open the pdf, extract content and images and rework the file to be useful - all within an hour. This has saved clients many times over.
